About the Project

Giving context

For one of our Lab's, we had to work with real clients! Our client was Vias. Vias is a Flemish institution. They gave us the task to create a fun solution for learning / keeping up with road safety.

The process

We started brainstorming ideas and came up with SafeLane. SafeLane is an interactive quiz app, where you can be competitive in teams or alone. The main focus is to maintain the knowledge that the users already have in a fun and interactive way.
We worked in teams of 3. I focused on the design part where as the others took the development upon themselves. Designing was a bit tough in the beginning. The colors were boring, and it looked monotonous. Thankfully I received this feedback, because that way I was able to change it on time and SafeLane now looks the way it does now. This is what SafeLane looked like before.

The result

SafeLane is a platform where users can maintain road safety knowledge through interactive quizzes. There is different types of questions like time pressure or click and drag.

Reflection

I learned a lot from this project, especially about the importance of user feedback in the design process. The initial design was not engaging enough, and the feedback we received helped us make significant improvements. If I were to do this project again, I would focus even more on user testing and iterating on the design based on real user interactions.
